The beacon is located in this die cast box. On top of the box is a low pass filter.
A peek into the box... Left to right: power supply, AVR based keyer and the transmitter (in the tin box). The transmitter is crystal controlled, the final is a 2N3866.
Ex-CB GP antenna on the pole. Click on the icon to hear how the beacon sounds.
In May 2012 a 20 Watt solar panel was installed to power the beacon.
